The Natural World

The world is indeed a beautiful place. The natural world asks for a slower kind of attention — a trail through the forest, the scale of a mountain valley, the quiet of a lake before the wind rises. The best landscapes are as much about space and stillness as they are about scenery. Walk far enough into a national park or woodland and the pace shifts, leaving only the small details: pine in the air, water over rock, and the calm of being somewhere unhurried. Nature somehow puts everything else that is happening in the world into perspective.
